Owners Ken and Katie love traveling to and experiencing the authentic flavors of the Baja peninsula. It's what inspired them to open Salt & Lime Cabo Grill. They are passionate about their food, margaritas and creating smiles. Their commitment to bringing you a wonderful dining experience and delicious food is of the utmost importance!

Ken & Katie Smith

Ken has been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years as a server, manager and now co-owner. Growing up in Pensacola, FL and spending a number of years living in San Diego, California is where his inspiration for Salt & Lime Cabo Grill came from. He enjoyed surfing and loved fish tacos so he decided to bring his fresh ideas to the Carolinas! This is his first business venture with wife Katie, and they are excited to create a foundation of success for their sons.

Katie, a North Carolina native, has been serving, hosting and bar-tending for over 15 years. She enjoys the fast pace environment, interacting with the local public, and of course margaritas! She is thrilled to open her first restaurant with her husband and is looking forward to opening many more!

DJ Nagle

Chef DJ Nagle’s culinary passion was fueled at a young age watching Julia Child and Jacques Pepin. Rooted in these early experiences, he creates simple, honest food with modern twists.

Chef DJ has developed a reputation for cooking food that people love and crave throughout his career. While working as an Executive Chef in some of the greatest food cities such as Kansas City, New Orleans, Memphis, and Denver, Chef DJ has drawn inspiration from regional dishes and flavors while consistently adding his own flair and creativity.

With his extensive experience curating menus at some of the finest restaurants, Chef DJ joined former colleague, Ken Smith to fulfill a dream they discussed years ago – to collaborate on restaurants that people would love. Since joining Salt and Lime Cabo Grill in 2019, Chef DJ has developed new dishes, expanded our daily specials, and continues to elevate our offerings.
